PRL Recruitment 2024 Selection Procedure
Selection Procedure to be followed:
- Written Test:
- There will be a single objective type paper that candidates need to complete within 120 minutes. (Extra time will be given for PwBD candidates.)
- Qualifying marks:
a) UR category candidates need to score 50% marks separately in Part A, B & C.
b) Reserved category candidates need to score 40% marks separately in Part A, B & C against the vacancies reserved for them.
- Skill Test:
- Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in a ratio of 1:5 to the number of vacancies, with at least 10 candidates being shortlisted.
- For reserved vacancies, additional candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:5 without considering the reserved candidates shortlisted under the UR Category.
- The Skill Test includes:
i. Computer Literacy Test
ii. Stenography Test - Passing Criteria:
i. Computer Literacy Test:
– UR category candidates need to score 60% marks.
– Reserved category candidates against notified reserved vacancies need to score 50% marks.
ii. Stenography Test:
– UR category candidates should have a maximum of 10% mistakes.
– Reserved category candidates against notified reserved vacancies should have a maximum of 12% mistakes.
Final selection will be based on the marks scored in the written test among the candidates who qualify in the skill test.

Application Fee
The examination fee of ₹100/- will be charged. Initially, all candidates will be required to pay a uniform fee of ₹500/- as examination fee. There are exempted categories from the fee (General/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Ex-serviceman). However, candidates from fee-exempt categories (General/OBC/SC/ST/Ex-serviceman) participating in the examination will be refunded ₹400/-, if they are included in the examination. Those candidates who do not appear for the examination will not be refunded the examination fee.
